My Forever Home. One Year Later.

27 Jun

This is a very special weekend. It was one year ago this week that my pugself was adopted!

This time last year, this pudgy pug never thought he would have his special home where he would receive love and the special pug time he craved… I am very happy to say that one year, and 16 pounds later I am the happiest pug on EARTH! I try to be the best pug I can be everyday so I can show my two favorite persons how happy I am to live with them. I think they know because on my special adoption anniversary I got extra cuddle time and a few more peanut butter bones than normal…

I never thought I would have two persons love me so much. They have taken me many places this year… from the beach, to camping near the big mountain, and Sunriver. I have gotten to see the whole wide world! Lucky puggy!

Where will next year take us? One thing I know is that wherever we go it will be with us together because we are the perfect pug pack!

I wouldn’t be anywhere without the group that helped me find my home, The Pacific Pug Rescue. They’re the great pug lovin’ people who help all pugs find forever homes. They take in big pugs, little pugs, baby pugs, sick pugs, and old pugs too. I can’t even think about where I would be if I didn’t get found by them… Better stop talking about that or this pug will get water eyes and snifflies.

Anyway, I better go now… my person says it’s time for dinner and that is one thing I can’t be late for…

Pug Fan

23 Jun

It is essential for any pug to have a designated Pug Fan, not one for all person’s living in the house but just for pug use. This is what keeps a cool and happy Puggy all summer long. Now that summer finally seems like it’s here, I insisted my person Eric bring up my fan. It is essential to use Pug Fan properly. It requires said pug to plop in front and let all the rolls hang out in order to properly cool. My person Kristen got a picture of me using my Pug Fan last year. I was pretty warm and with my big bod I got too hot just walking around the house! I don’t look too happy because I was just so BIG… You won’t see those pudgy pug rolls this year! Later, I’ll have my person post a new picture of me using my Pug Fan with the new bod…
I like not getting soggy on my walks. Summer makes pug life good even if I have to use my Pug Fan everyday!

A day at the office…

22 Jun

Yesterday after my person came home for lunch and  gave me my afternoon snack, she packed a bunch of carrots, some peanut butter, and my favorite bone… Something was up, either she was eating my treats or we were going somewhere in the car. Sure enough, it was an afternoon at the office for me! It’s probably one of my favorite places to go because every time I get treats and attention from everybody!

Usually, a day at the office consists of many people coming up to me and petting me… along with a walk or two near a big building that smells like cookies! My person says it’s a bakery… well I wish she worked at a bakery! Speaking of bakeries, she also said that a new DOG bakery is opening one block from home… I’m thinking they need a mascot and who better than me? I probably will be a regular there… But my person says to watch my diet. Diet, schmiet I say bring on the treats! Being a recovering fatso can be so tough!

Pudgy pug no more!

21 Jun

This Friday, it will be one year since I found my forever home. Time flies when you’re having fun! I’m excited because this will be my first summer in top pug shape, ready to meet and mingle with those pug ladies out there… No longer will my rolls hang over my pug trunks and pillage out of my life vest.

My person tells me it’s finally summer, but I have yet to see summer. Summer in previous years meant hot sun and a panting pug but I have only had to plop in front of the fan once so it must not be summer. I’m ready to show off my figure and it is raining on my parade.

Speaking of parades, it was a month a go I tried to show off my bod in the Portland Pug Crawl, but rain spoiled that too. Man, I don’t know what I will do with this weather… I guess I will just keep hitting up the long walks and runs at the big yard with my person until the sunshine arrives.
